Abstract:
This disclosure relates to methods for synthesizing copolymers such as graft or block copolymers, and polymeric materials provided by the methods.
Abstract:
The invention relates to polymers which are modified along a polymer chain on the basis of conjugated dienes or conjugated dienes and vinyl aromatic compounds having a proportion of vinyl aromatic compounds of up to 60 wt. %, a proportion of cis-position double bonds of >/= 92 %, an average molecular weight of between 50 000 - 1 500 000 g/mol and a gel content of
Abstract:
A butadiene-type polymer suitable for use as a processing aid in a rubber composition is formed by polymerizing butadiene or other conjugated diene monomers in a solvent, such as hexane, to form a polymer of relatively low molecular weight. The polymer is coupled to increase its molecular weight to a level at which conventional desolventizing processes may be used to remove the solvent from the mix. After desolventizing, the polymer is decoupled, by heating, to return the polymer to its original molecular weight.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a crosslinkable or crosslinked rubber composition having improved hysteretic properties when crosslinked which is useful for forming a tyre running tread, a method for preparing said crosslinkable composition, such a running tread and a tyre having reduced rolling resistance. Said composition is characterised in that it consists of: at least a diene elastomer having a mol ratio of units derived from conjugate dienes higher than 30 % and comprising carboxylic acid functions along its chain, and a reinforcing inorganic filler.
