본 발명은 하수나 폐수로 대표되는 점 오염원을 처리하는데 적용되거나, 하천수 또는 호소수 중에 포함된 다양한 오염물질을 처리하는데 있어 강우시 유출되는 비점오염원을 선택적으로 또는 동시에 고도처리할 수 있는 저에너지 소비형의 다기능 하이브리드 인공습지 수질정화시스템, 이를 이용한 하수처리장치 및 하천 또는 호소수의 동시 정화가 가능한 자연형 비점정화장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 하이브리드 인공습지 수질정화시스템은 제1호기성 인공습지, 비호기성 인공습지 그리고 제2호기성 인공습지를 포함하여 이루어진다. 여기서, 제1호기성 인공습지는 유입되는 정화대상수의 수직방향 흐름을 유도하면서 오염물질이 제거되도록 한다. 비호기성 인공습지는 제1호기성 인공습지로부터 유입되는 처리수의 수평방향 흐름을 유도하면서 오염물질이 추가로 제거되도록 한다. 그리고, 제2호기성 인공습지는 비호기성 인공습지로부터 유입되는 처리수의 수직흐름을 유도하고, 내측으로는 공기가 공급되도록 하여 유입된 처리수의 용존산소가 높아지도록 한다.

The present invention is directed to a system and method which recycles waste so that the effluent coming out of the system actually equals a potable water standard with essentially no contaminated sludge. In one embodiment, the solids in wastewater are subjected to aeration and enzymes in a digester for a period of time. The cleanest portion of the water from the digester is then clarified. Sludge, as well as scum, from the clarifier is vacuumed back to the digester. Clear water from the clarifier is delivered to a Recycling stage for filtering to remove suspended solids down to 5-microns. When the recycling process housing reaches saturation, a back-flushing process with clean water sends all of the captured suspended solids back into the Digester. The effluent, other than during back-flushing, from the Recycler is then passedthrough: 1 ) a water purification process to remove parasites; 2) a treatment to reduce hazardous chemicals; and 3) a UV (or other non-hazardous process) to remove, kill or inactivate all bacteria and viruses, all without producing sludge. The output from this final state is potable water. In one embodiment, a single final stage can serve multiple digester/clarifier stages.

An aeration system (10) which feeds air to multiple water basins (12) and method. A plurality of local processor based control modules (208) is provided. Each module controls the operation of a compressor unit (11) to effect functions including changes in compressor power level, thermal control and blow-off during compressor start-up. The compressor units (11) are assembled in systems and each system is allocated to a different basin so that no two compressors (22) provide air to the same basin (12). A plurality of control operations are performed with a central processor (300) wherein the central processor directly controls aeration valves 324 in each basin 12 based on monitored oxygen levels.

In the preferred embodiment, effluent from a tank is pumped to distribution channels, allowing effluent to overflow and trickle on to filtration media. A portion of the liquid can continue past the channels and return to the tank. The filtration media creates enhanced gas exchange and an environment that promotes the growth of microbes with the desired biological activities. A recirculation leg allows a portion of the pumped liquid to promote the circular flow of liquids in the tank, which accumulates suspended solids at the center of the bottom of the tank.
