Abstract:
A method for installing a tile to a wall includes applying a padded trim material to a front surface of the tile. With the trim material on the front surface of the tile, a force is applied to the trim material so that the tile is connected to the wall. Once the tile is connected to the wall, the trim material is removed from the tile.
Abstract:
A virtual reality system can comprise a virtual reality headset, one or more position tracking sensors, and a computerized architectural design environment. The position tracking sensors can identify a relative location of the user with respect to a physical space. The computerized architectural design environment can comprise a computer-implemented method for displaying a three-dimensional view of an architectural design to a user through the one or more virtual reality components. The method can comprise receiving a communication from the one or more position tracking sensors, rendering at least a portion of an architectural design file, and transmitting to the virtual reality headset the rendered portion of the architectural design file.
Abstract:
A method of configuring a modular wall having a plurality of different types of interchangeable wall modules with different types of compatible connection components, each connection component being configured to align with another connection component at an interface to form an interface connection for securing the connection components together with one or more universal connection interface members. The modular wall system is configured for on-demand reconfiguration without laborious alteration to aspects of the walls system, modules, and components thereof. Reconfiguration of modules is facilitated by removing the universal connection interface member from the interface connection, thereby releasing the attachment mechanism and allowing rearrangement of the module(s). Replacement of the universal connection interface member secures the reconfigured modules in place in the rearranged wall system.
Abstract:
Methods and systems allow for creating a variable spatial framework for use in designing and manufacturing an architectural component. The spatial framework can define a three-dimensional space having a plurality of boundaries. The system can receive an input to divide the three-dimensional space into multiple independent cells. Each independent cell can comprise an independently executable software object. A plurality of boundaries of the spatial framework can automatically adjust upon receiving an input defining a manufacturing constraint.
Abstract:
Apparatus, systems, and methods for constructing and installing architectural walls that are secured to a floor and/or a ceiling and that that include an adjustment mechanism. The adjustment mechanism may allow the architectural wall to be selectively adjusted horizontally relative to the floor and/or ceiling so that a vertical positioning of the wall may be achieved. The adjustment mechanism may also allow the architectural wall to fit securely to a floor and/or ceiling.
Abstract:
Implementations of the present invention relate to systems, methods, and apparatus for protecting individual spaces formed by modular walls from unauthorized and/or undetected entry. More specifically, at least one implementation includes tamper evident panels that can indicate unauthorized removal thereof and/or indicate an occurrence of unauthorized entry into a protected individual space.
Abstract:
Implementations of the present invention relate to systems, methods, and apparatus for delivering and/or removing fluid from a discrete location within a building. In particular, the present invention involves a modular conduit system that can supply or remove air, water, gas, or other fluids to/from an individual space created by modular walls.
Abstract:
Implementations of the present invention relate to systems and apparatus for incorporating live plants on support surfaces, such as walls, wall segments, and wall modules inside of a building. Such systems and apparatus can provide pleasing aesthetic and an improved environment for occupant of a space within the building. The modular living wall system also can reduce or eliminate the need for manual watering of the live plants.

Abstract:
A system for sealing a space defined between a modular wall and a permanent structure includes a sealing material connected to the permanent structure and the modular wall and spanning the space defined therebetween. The sealing material is configured to transform from an expanded state to a recovered state in response to a stimulus to form a seal. The stimulus can be, for example, heat, whereby heating the sealing material at or above the transition temperature for the sealing material causes the sealing material to transition from the expanded state to the recovered state.
