The present invention provides an electrolyte for solar cells comprising a phthalocyanine (Pc) compound of Formula X-MPc-(OR) n and solar cells using the same. According to the present invention, the phthalocyanine derivatives containing an alkoxy chain group showed good solubility, which allows a coating process to be performed via spin coating without using an expensive vacuum deposition process.

Thermoplastic polyolefin blends with a good stiffness/impact balance, as well as enhanced surface durability, contain semi-crystalline polypropylene resin component, a propylene-based elastomer component, and a styrene-based elastomer component. The propylene-based elastomer (PBE) is characterized as having at least one of a) a plurality of identifying band positions at 998 cm -1 , 974 cm -1 , and 733 cm -1 , as measured by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR); or one or more glass transition temperatures (Tg) from about -15°C to -35°C, as measured by Differential Scanning Calorimetry. The surface of articles made from such a thermoplastic blend shows increased scratch resistance and a decrease in stress whitening.

A method of removing SO 2 from a flue gas stream including SO 2 includes providing a source of trona and injecting the trona into the flue gas stream. The temperature of the flue gas is between about 600° F and about 900° F. The trona is maintained in contact with the flue gas for a time sufficient to react a portion of the trona with a portion of the SO 2 to reduce the concentration of the SO 2 in the flue gas stream.

The present invention relates to a process for selectively leaching nickel from a mixed hydroxide precipitate (MHP) by contacting the mixed hydroxide precipitate with an acidic leach solution and with peroxymonosulfuric acid to cause at least 75 wt.-% of the nickel to be dissolved in a leachate and at least 90 wt.-% of the cobalt to be recovered in a solid phase, based on the total amount of nickel and cobalt, respectively, present in the mixed hydroxide precipitate.

Polymer compositions are provided, as are processes of preparing them. Compositions comprising the polymer composition and up to 60 wt.% of at least one filler are also provided, as are articles, parts and composite materials comprising the polymer composition or composition. Use of the polymer composition or composition for the manufacture of 3D objects is also contemplated. The polymer compositions comprise at least one poly(arylene sulfide) polymer and at most 5 wt.% of at least one epoxy-functionalized aromatic macromer (EFAM). The epoxy-functionalized aromatic macromer has a number average molecular weight of at most 5000 g/mol. The elongation at break of the inventive polymer compositions is increased, and the elastic modulus and/or tensile strength of the inventive polymer compositions are substantially maintained, relative to the these same properties of an analogous polymer composition not comprising the epoxy-functionalized aromatic macromer.

A method includes providing a movable module to a worksite, the movable module including a pump, a variable frequency drive coupled to the pump, a programmable logic controller operatively coupled to the variable frequency drive, and a first flow meter coupled to an outlet of the pump. The method also includes coupling a tank to a suction end of the pump, the tank having a concentrated chemical disposed therein, and coupling an outlet of the pump to a blender fluid flowline. The method also includes providing a low dosage of the concentrated chemical of between 0.01 and 0.15 gallons per thousand gallons to a clean fluid in the blender fluid flowline by pumping the concentrated chemical with the pump from the tank to the blender fluid flowline and adjusting an amount of the concentrated chemical pumped in response to data input into the programmable logic controller.
