Abstract:
A programmable logic element in which two-input NAND gates conventionally used for setting don't-care combination are unnecessitated and the number of transistors are decreased. Instead of two-input NAND gates, pair of pull-up switching elements (400, 420 to 403, 423) are provided in selectors (210 to 213) respectively. The paired elements are connected in series respectively, and used for connecting or disconnecting the output-connection lines of the switching elements (240-243) for positive logic and of those (230-233) for negative logic with the line of a power supply Vdd. The switching elements (230-233) and the pull-up switching elements (400-403) are ON/OFF-controlled with first memory cells (M00-M30). Similarly, the switching elements (240-243) and the pull-up switching elements (420-423) are ON/OFF-controlled with second memory cells (M01-M31).
Abstract:
A method of imparting excellent adhesiveness to an enameling steel sheet made from a slab produced through continuous casting, in which the surface of the steel sheet is activated by pickling in the course of manufacturing it, particularly after recrystallization and annealing and prior to molding, so that, even when using an enamel not requiring sulfuric acid pickling or Ni flushing, no defects will develop in enamel such as fishscaling, blister, and black speck.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a method for exactly detecting the inflow of slag into a molten steel stream when a molten steel is poured into an intermediate vessel such as a ladle or a tundish from a refining vessel such as a refining furnace or a ladle through a tap hole or a nozzle, by supplying an inert gas into the molten steel flow inside the nozzle from the side of the tap hole or the nozzle and detecting the inflow of slag on the basis of changes in the flow rate of the inert gas absorbed into the molten steel stream and a back pressure.
Abstract:
A thin film of an oxide superconductor is formed by mixing a gas of an organometallic compound of an alkaline earth metal, a gas of an organometallic compound (halide) of a group IIIa metal, and a gas of an organometallic compound (halide) of a transition metal with each other, thermally decomposing the mixture under a given oxygen partial pressure, and depositing a composite of oxides of the above-described metals on a base.
Abstract:
A unidirectional silicon steel plate for use in producing a laminated core for a transformer, having excellent magnetic properties, particularly extraordinarily reduced core loss and having improved compression stress properties of magneto-striction and improved space factor is produced regardless of a high-temperature thermal history such as stress-relieving annealing, by forming on the surface of a finish-annealed steel plate at least one coating layer mainly comprising at least one of nitrides and carbides of Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta, Mn, Cr, Mo, Ni, Al, B and Si, firmly bound to the steel plate surface via a mixture layer of the coating layer and the base steel.
Abstract:
The material includes a great amount of Si, 3.1 to 4.5%. As an inhibitor, a mixture of a small amount of A and a trace of S or Se is employed, together with Mo. Moreover, a slab heating treatment is carried out at a temperature higher than 1,279 C until the scale loss at the time of heating becomes 2.7 to 5.0%, whereby the inhibitor is satisfactorily dissociated and formed into a solid solution. By so doing, the effect of suppressing the growth of primary recrystallization grains at the time of secondary recrystallization annealing is remarkably intensified, and the development of the secondary recrystallization grains of the [110] orientation is facilitated. Thus, a secondary recrystallization texture is formed which is intensely oriented in the [110] direction, thereby attaining increased magnetic flux density and reduced iron loss. Also, the cracking in the hot rolling step after the heating treatment is effectively prevented, thereby realizing improvements in the surface and magnetic properties.
Abstract:
A method of determining the thickness and composition of an alloy film consisting of one layer which contains a metal identical with a substrate metal, or two layers of different composition, which method is suitably used to analyze a steel plate coated with a one- or two-layer Zn-Fe alloy film. The characteristic X-rays and white X-rays are applied to an object alloy film (112, 10, 210) to detect an angle of diffraction (2) of the characteristic X-rays diffracted due to an intermetallic compound in the alloy film. The composition of the alloy is determined on the basis of this angle of diffraction. The intensity of the fluorescent X-rays, which are based on the white X-rays, from the object film is detected, and the thickness of the film is measured at the same time on the basis of the intensity of the fluorescent X-rays and the above-mentioned composition of the film.
Abstract:
A reducing belt-type continuous casting apparatus continuously casts a sheet-bar billet through a casting space formed by the combination of a pair of metal belts which are disposed facing each other and rotatably move such as to form longer sides and a pair of tapered fixed side plates which are disposed between the metal belts and closely contact the same so as to form shorter sides. The side plates for forming shorter sides are designed in a configuration such that the following conditions are satisfied: d = 5 to 30 mm, D >= 60 mm, D/d = 10,500 t/Dr, 0.4
