Electrostatic filter (1) for purifying a flow of gas, and in particular air, which comprises a capture stage (S2) placed to intercept a gas flow (F) and provided with at least one positively-charged plate-like repulsion electrode (5) and with at least one plate-like collection electrode (6) at ground potential, which are extended parallel to the advancement direction of the gas flow (F). The plate-like repulsion electrode (5) is provided with a plurality of holes (12) distributed on its surface, whose edges of connection with its two faces have radii of curvature with localized concentrations of electric field with consequent emission of positive electric charges (4) in said gas flow (F).

Beschrieben und dargestellt ist ein Elektroabscheider (1) zur elektrostatischen Abscheidung von Partikeln, insbesondere Staubteilchen und/oder Aerosolen, aus einem den Elektroabscheider (1) durchströmenden Gasstrom, mit einem Gehäuse (2) und wenigstens einer in dem Gehäuse (2) aufgenommenen Sprühelektrode (7) und wenigstens einer in dem Gehäuse (2) aufgenommenen Niederschlagselektrode (6), wobei die Sprühelektrode (7) über eine Trageinrichtung (8) im Gehäuse (2) gehalten ist und wobei die Trageinrichtung (8) gegenüber der wenigstens einen Niederschlagselektrode (6) und dem Gehäuse (2) über wenigstens einen Isolator elektrisch isoliert ist. Um Bauraum und damit Kosten einzusparen, ist vorgesehen, dass der wenigstens eine Isolator ein Hohlkunststoffverbundisolator (11) ist.

Air treatment device comprising aplasma coil electrostatic precipitator assembly. The present invention relates to an air treatment device comprisinga plasma generatorelectrostatic precipitator assemblycomprising: an electrostatic precipitator configured to charge airborne particles in the vicinity of theelectrostaticprecipitatorto provide charged airborne particles; and a plasma generatorpositionedin proximity to the electrostatic precipitator and configured for cooperation with the electrostatic precipitator, the plasma generatorconfigured todischarge plasma and provide an inactivation zone in the region of the plasma generator operable to inactivatethe airborne particles; and wherein the air treatment device comprises means for directing the charged airborne particles generated by the electrostatic percipitator into the inactivation zone such that the air treatment device is adapted to generate charged airborne particles and then immediately, todirect the charged airborne particles into the inactivation zone so as to expose the charged airborne particles to plasmain the inactivation zone. Methods and apparatus for cleaning contaminant byproducts off of ionizing wire (20) electrodes in ionizing blowers (10) are disclosed. Disclosed apparatus include a housing (30) with a gas-flow channel, an stationary ionizing wire (20) and a rotatable frame (12) with supports (28) for resiliently supporting the stationary ionizing wire (20) within the channel. The ionizing wire (20) produces charge carriers and has a surface that develops a layer of contaminant byproducts when an ionizing signal is applied thereto. The frame (12) is rotatably mounted such that the supports (28) clean the layer of contaminant byproducts off of the surface of the ionizing wire (20) when the frame (12) is rotated, by physical and/or by electrical means. Disclosed methods include providing an ionizing signal to the ionizing wire (20) to thereby produce charge carriers and rotating the frame (12) relative to the housing (30) to thereby clean contaminant byproducts off of the ionizing wire (20).

An electrostatic blower for moving a flue gas is provided. The electrostatic blower includes a power source and a housing coupled to the power source. The housing includes an inlet end and a discharge end. A corona discharge device is coupled to the power source and to the housing. The corona discharge device is configured to ionize the flue gas. The electrostatic blower includes a collector device coupled to the housing at a position downstream from said corona discharge device with respect to a flow of the flue gas within said housing. The collector is configured to attract the ionized flue gas from the corona discharge device.

A gas flow generator (106) generates a flow along the corona electrode and non-corona electrode. The corona electrode (102) comprises at least one disclike member (102B). The disclike member (102B) comprises a disclike support part (202) and a number of conductive bendable wires (204) attached to the disclike support part (202). A corona tip (102A) is a free end (204A) of a conductive bendable wire (204). A part (204B) of the conductive bendable wire (204) is wound around a protrusion (202A) of the disclike support part (202).

Eine elektrostatisch arbeitende Vorrichtung zum Abscheiden von Overspray aus der mit Overspray beladenen Kabinenabluft von Lackieranlagen umfasst mehrere elektrisch leitfähige Abscheideelemente (34a, 34b; 64), die mit einer Hochspannungsquelle (32) verbunden sind und an welchen entlang die Kabinenluft führbar ist. Mittels einer im Luftstrom angeordneten Ionisierungseinrichtung (26) sind Overspraypartikel ionisierbar. Zumindest die Abscheideelemente (34a, 34b; 64) sind als austauschbare Einweg-Bauelemente ausgebildet.
