    Abstract: A method of decomposing a fluidic product (110) having a plurality of particles (112) is disclosed. The method includes inductively heating the fluidic product (110) at a first predetermined temperature while flowing through a temperature rising portion (138) having a first heating region formed of at least one metal pipe (124) by using a first heating induction coil (134) surrounding the first heating region; holding a temperature of the fluidic product (110) at approximately the first predetermined temperature for a predetermined reaction period while flowing through a temperature holding portion (140) having a second heating region formed of at least one metal pipe (124) by inductively heating the temperature holding portion (140) using a second heating induction coil (136) surrounding the second heating region; and decomposing the fluidic product (110) while flowing through the temperature rising portion (138) and the temperature holding portion (140) during the predetermined reaction period.

    Abstract: An aerosol provision device comprises a coil, a heater component arranged to heat aerosol generating material, wherein the heater component is heatable by the coil, an indicator assembly and a controller. The controller is configured to cause the coil to heat the heater component and cause the indicator assembly to indicate that the device is ready for use within a predetermined period of time after causing the coil to heat the heater component, wherein the predetermined period of time is less than about 60 seconds.

    Abstract: Apparatus for an aerosol generating device is described. The apparatus comprises an induction heating circuit, the circuit comprising: an inductive element for inductively heating a susceptor arrangement to heat an aerosol generating material to thereby generate an aerosol; a capacitive element; and a switching arrangement that in use alternates between a first state and a second state to enable a varying current to be generated from a DC voltage supply and flow through the inductive element to cause inductive heating of the susceptor arrangement. The circuit also comprises a control arrangement configured to switch the switching arrangement from the first state to the second state in response to a first voltage condition being detected in the circuit, and to switch the switching arrangement from the second state to the first state in response to a second voltage condition being detected in the circuit.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for electromagnetic heating of a hydrocarbon formation. The apparatus includes an electrical power source; at least one electromagnetic wave generator for generating alternating current; at least two transmission line conductors positioned in the hydrocarbon formation; at least one waveguide for carrying the alternating current from the at least one electromagnetic wave generator to the at least two transmission line conductors; and a producer well to receive heated hydrocarbons from the hydrocarbon formation. The transmission line conductors are excitable by the alternating current to propagate a travelling wave within the hydrocarbon formation. At least one of the transmission line conductors include a primary arm and at least one secondary arm extending laterally from the primary arm. The at least one secondary arm includes at least one electrically isolatable connection for electrically isolating at least a portion of the secondary arm.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a laundry machine. More particularly, a laundry machine for generating steam by an induction heater and a control method thereof are disclosed. The laundry machine may include a tub, a drum rotatably arranged in the tub to accommodate an object and provided with a through hole on an outer circumferential surface thereof, a steam induction heater provided at a front upper portion of a front wall or a rear upper portion of a rear wall of the tub to heat a heating surface of the drum facing the steam induction heater, a motor driven to rotate the drum, a spray nozzle configured to spray water onto the heating surface facing the steam induction heater to generate steam, and a processor configured to rotate the drum to introduce the steam into the drum through the through hole in a space between the tub and the drum.
