Abstract:
An arrangement for emptying a bag-like envelope (11) containing a pasty liquid (12) consists substantially of a rigid housing (13) for the envelope and an axially movable piston (10) for compressing the envelope (11) and for discharging the liquid (12) through a discharge opening (14) in the housing. The piston comprises on its outer edge (15) at least one scraping element (16) which is movable between an insertion position (I), and a scraping position (S). In the insertion position (I), the scraping edge (17) of the scraping element (16) is spaced from the inner surface (19) of the housing (13). In the scraping position (S), the scraping edge (17) is pressed against the inner surface (19) of the housing (13).
Abstract:
A disconnectable flow connector for connecting a fluid-containing flexible bag (1) to a fluid supply line (100) is sufficiently airtight so as to allow dispensing of fluids, especially adhesives, which are highly reactive on contact with even the least quantity of air. The bag (1) has a spout (2, 3) with a pierceable membrane (5). A valve (10) has a tapering end which can pierce and then seal the membrane, an aperture (13) at the tip, and a valve plunger (14) operable so as to be retractable from the aperture (13) to an open (fluid flow) position independently of the piercing action. A fluid pressure mechanism is provided for driving fluid from the flexible bag (1) through the flow connector to the fluid supply line (100). The mechanism consists of a housing (30, 31, 32, 33) for containing the bag (1) and a housing end wall (34) which is moveable along the length of the housing. The bag (1) has no tendency to collapse or fold in on itself. The position of the moveable end wall (34) is an indication of the state (empty, full) of the bag (1). Also provided is a lid for a product tank including an upper face (301), a lower face (302) and a plurality of sides (300), the sides (300) being concave and the intersection of the sides (300) defining a corner of the lid, each corner being provided with a hook-shaped ring (303) which defines a slot (304) into which studs on the product tank can be received.
Abstract:
A dispensing device for flowing substances comprises a tube (19) of flexible material adapted to receive the substance in question from the conduit (3) and a valve arrangement (20) for regulating flow of substance from tube out through a discharge opening (21). The valve arrangement comprises two or more valve means (23), which are adapted to each other so as to in a first relative position shut the flow past the valve means and in a second relative position open for such a flow. A cooling device is arranged along at least a part of the conduit (3) for cooling the conduit and by that a substance located therein, so that in particular in the case of food substances a degradation thereof is avoided.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an improved toothpaste dispensing apparatus (10) which includes a housing (12, 212) having a grasping assembly (90a, 90b, 290, 490) for holding the toothpaste container (20, 220, 420), a means (270) for supporting and stabilizing the toothpaste container (20, 220, 420) as the rollers (70, 74) move along the container (20, 220, 420) and a nozzle assembly (80) including a capping mechanism (286) for dispensing the toothpaste. A drive assembly (30, 230, 430) including a clutch (510) is mounted within the housing (12) and drives a carriage assembly (60) for squeezing the toothpaste container (20, 220, 420). A control system is also included for activating the drive assembly (30, 230, 430) and for automatic reversal of the drive assembly (30, 230, 430).
