Abstract:
A method for applying an ornamented design on a substrate adheres small-grain particles on a bottom layer of film-forming adhesive applied within the outlines of a decorative pattern. A top adhesive layer is applied on the layer of small-grain particles on the still-wet adhesive bottom layer. The two adhesive layers merge and are cured to form a flexible film with the layer of small-grain particles permanently embedded therein and adhered to the substrate. In a preferred product, sand particles are used to form a decorative sand pattern on fabric for a T-shirt or other clothing item. Decorative designs may also be formed with other types of small-grain particles, on other types of substrates, and/or for other types of clothing, wearing apparel, or decorative items.
Abstract:
Present invention relates to technique of embedding colored flock on plain flocked surface in production of multiple-layer and patterned upholstery fabric (artificial suede) in furniture sector. In production process of artifical suede developed according to the invention, colored and patterned flock embedding process is characterized with following steps; " Fabric made of plain and colored flock is re-inserted into machine and this time its' surface is coated with adhesive via rotational template system and patterned sections are re-coated with colored flock (as second layer), " Resultant multiple-layer, patterned and color-flocked fabric is subjected to drumming process for surface finishing and soft touch.
Abstract:
A process is described for manufacturing a breathable thermoadhesive transfer, for instance suitable for application onto a fabric, in which a step of processing using laser technology to create holes in said thermoadhesive transfer is carried out before the application step.
Abstract:
A composite nozzle strip for hydroentangling of a fibrous mass is provided to lower nozzle erosion potential and increase operational efficiency. The composite nozzle strip comprises a substrate comprising a material of a first hardness having at least one aperture and at least one orifice element comprising a material of a second hardness greater than the first hardness and further defining an aperture of a second diameter less than the first diameter. The at least one orifice element is affixed to the substrate so that the aperture in the orifice element is aligned with the at least one aperture in the substrate for creation of a constricted water jet when subjected to pressurized water.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A cleaning cloth (10) as shown in Figure 1 having a carrier web formed of yarn where the cloth is of a construction of traversing and intersecting series of lengths of yarn or threads. Fusing together of adjacent or intersecting and/or traversing lengths of yarn may be carried out at selected areas to provide a surface of the cloth with a relatively abrasive nature and improved ability to remove stubborn stains from surfaces being cleaned.
Abstract:
A lightweight loop pile fabric having improved particle pick-up is described. In addition, a patterned loop pile fabric is described. The fabric has a plurality of multifilament loops extending from at least one of its surfaces, with at least some of the loops being teased (12'). In one embodiment, the loops are formed from splittable multifilament yarns which are hypersplit during the manufacturing process to form teased loops (12'). The fabrics perform particularly well in the manufacture of wiping cloths with enhanced performance characteristics. In addition, the fabrics enable the production of patterned articles having performance characteristics similar to or exceeding those of unpatterned goods. A process for making the fabrics is also described.
Abstract:
The present invention contemplates a method of forming a textile laminate or composite fabric from a plurality of woven fabric layers, with the method contemplating use of a three-dimensional image transfer device to facilitate efficient and commercially viable use of the method. Herein is disclosed a method of forming an imaged textile laminate or composite compound fabric, the fabric having a first textile fabric layer (11) comprising a plurality of interwoven warp and weft yarns and at least one other textile fabric layer (10), the lamination of the fabric layers and imaging of the construct occurring on a three-dimensional image transfer device (18). The image transfer device (18) has a foraminous, image-forming surface comprising a regular pattern of three-dimensional surface elements.
