Abstract: An improved trap fitting assembly (F1, F2) which prevents the spread of fire and smoke through a floor (100, 200) of a building is described. The fitting uses a flammable coupling (10, 30) and a non-flammable sleeve (14, 32) inside the coupling with an extension (14b, 32b) from a lower most portion of the floor which is connected to a non-flammable J-pipe (16, 34).
