Abstract: A belt tensioner having a tensioner base and a tensioning arm axially aligned about a pivot shaft defining a pivot axis, the tensioning arm pivotal in relation to the tensioner base about the pivot axis. The tensioner has a bearing positioned around and sealed against the pivot shaft, with the tensioning arm positioned around the bearing. The bearing forms a radial seal between the bearing and the tensioning arm and between the bearing and the pivot shaft. A torsion spring is positioned externally around a portion of the tensioning arm.

Abstract: Segmented sprocket systems and methods for installing the segmented sprocket systems for use in numerous different applications such as, but not limited to, industrial sprockets. The present invention may be a segmented sprocket system including two or more relatively thin sprockets (100) that are installed together on a common hub (200) such that the two or more sprockets form a composite sprocket having a width approximately equal to the sum of the width of the individual sprockets. A segmented sprocket system may include a hub; at least two sprockets having the same outer diameter and an interior opening having a diameter approximately equal to the outer diameter of the hub; wherein the at least two sprockets are positioned on the hub such that each sprocket abuts a neighboring sprocket, thus resulting in a composite sprocket structure.

Abstract: A tensioner adjuster includes a plate portion with an opening for receiving a fastener during installation of a tensioner. Abstract: Described herein is a tensioner device, and assemblies and methods of manufacture thereof. The tensioner device may be adapted to create a target tension in an associated belt based on the measured length of the belt. The tensioner device may include an engagement member having a surface adapted to engage the belt and a biasing element associated with the engagement member. The biasing element has a loaded configuration that causes the engagement member to exert a force on the belt to create the target tension. In one example, the biasing element is manipulated into a loaded configuration so that the biasing element exhibits a deflection and an effective spring rate for creating the target tension. The belt may be trapped within the tensioner device with a bracket assembly enclosing one or more runs of belt relative to the engagement member.

Abstract: A center cord-line V-belt with a radially centered cord line of helically wound tensile cord embedded in a very high-modulus adhesion gum, an overcord layer, and an undercord layer. The adhesion gum has a substantially isotropic modulus, while the overcord and undercord layers have anisotropy in with-grain and cross-grain moduli. The overcord and undercord cross-grain moduli are less than the adhesion gum modulus. The anisotropic moduli are the result of oriented short fibers and the with-grain modulus is oriented axially in the belt. The adhesion gum preferably has no short fiber. The belt preferably has no reinforcing fabric layer and no fabric wrap. The adhesion gum, overcord layer and undercord layer are preferably based on an ethylene-alpha-olefin elastomer, with peroxide cure, reinforcing filler, and metal salt of an α−β-unsaturated organic acid. The belt may have notches on one or both of the inner and outer radial surfaces for additional flexibility.
