摘要： Polyurethanes and hot melt moisture curable adhesive compositions that include the same are disclosed. The polyurethane includes the reaction product of diisocyanate and a semi-crystalline polyester polyol having an acid number of less than 4 and including the reaction product of a saturated fatty component having a hydroxyl number less than 2, the saturated fatty component being selected from the group consisting of saturated fatty acid, saturated fatty acid ester, saturated oil, and combinations thereof, a polyhydric alcohol that includes at least three hydroxyl groups, and a dibasic acid.

The moisture curable polyurethane hot melt adhesive composition includes an isocyanate-terminated polyurethane prepolymer that is the reaction product of a diisocyanate monomer component that includes at least 20 % by weight asymmetrical diisocyanate monomer based on the weight of the diisocyanate monomer component and symmetrical diisocyanate monomer, at least one polyol having a number average molecular weight greater than 1000 g/rnole, a monofunctional compound that includes one isocyanate-reactive group and has a molecular weight no greater than 400 g/mole, and a multifunctional compound that includes at least two isocyanate-reactive groups and has a molecular weight no greater than 400 g/mole.

The adhesive tape has a carrier substrate, the first activatable adhesive composition disposed on a first surface of the carrier substrate, and a second activatable adhesive composition disposed on a second surface of the carrier substrate. The method includes activating the first activatable adhesive composition such that the adhesive tape adheres to the placement device through the first activatable adhesive composition, separating the adhesive tape from a tape delivery system, activating the second activatable adhesive composition, contacting an article with the second activatable adhesive composition, and separating the placement device from the adhesive tape such that the adhesive tape remains adhered to the article.
