    Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for isolating Small Extracellular Vesicles secreted by umbilical cord blood mononuclear cells (UCBMNCs) and compositions comprising said Small Extracellular Vesicles, which are useful to be applied to autoimmune diseases therapeutics or prophylactics and/or cosmetic purposes. The proposed process for isolating UCBMNCs Small Extracellular Vesicles comprises three main steps: i) a first step of sequential centrifugation, ii) a second step of microfiltration combined with ultrafiltration (UF), and iii) a third step of size exclusion chromatography (SEC) and aims to achieve highly pure Small Extracellular Vesicles and in a higher yield. The SEVs compositions comprise specific type of proteins, RNA and lipids, that enables them to be very effective when applied to inflammatory and autoimmune diseases therapeutics, such as psoriasis, lupus, atopic dermatitis, eczema, etc. and also to cosmetic or prophylactic compositions. Therefore, the present invention lays in the technical domain of pharmaceuticals, medicine, cosmetics, research and development in cellular biology and appliances thereof.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a dual a ccelerometer vector sensor (DAVS) device. Said device comprises two tri-axial accelerometers and one hydrophone moulded in one unit. Such device is useful to measure and improve the efficiency of methodologies used to perform geophysical acoustic surveys at sea. The DAVS has the potential to contribute to this aim in various ways, for example, owing to its spatial filtering capability, it may reduce the amount of post processing by discriminating the bottom from the surface reflections. Also its compact size allows easier integration with AUVs and hence facilitates the vehicle manoeuvrability compared to the classical towed arrays. Therefore, another object of the present invention refers to an Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) comprising the DAVS device of the present invention for acquiring and monitoring underwater seismic data. The present invention is thus useful for acquiring and monitoring seismic data and belongs to the technical field of seismology, seismic prospecting, detecting and monitoring.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a process of naturally producing 2-PE by using Acinetobacter soli bacterium. For this purpose, A. soli strains selected from environmental isolates were cultured in a bioreactor under average fermentation conditions. A. soli strain ANG 344B (Accession Number 1593) is particularly able to improve the production of 2-PE resulting in high yields of said compound. This compound is responsible for the scent of roses having a high commercial price when compared with the synthetically produced compound. It can be used in food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical sectors as organoleptic enhancer, antibacterial and antifungal agent. Moreover, 2-PE is also a valuable alcohol that can be used as a next generation biofuel, and as a raw material for its derivatives in pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries. Therefore, the present invention is in the field of microbiology, chemistry and biotechnology and has application in the food, cosmetic, pharmaceutical and fuel industries.
