Abstract:
A fluid interconnect for a fluid ejection system includes a fluid port having a fluid passage formed therethrough, and a filter provided at an end of the fluid port such that fluid passing through the fluid port passes through the filter to the fluid passage, wherein the filter is secured to an end surface and a peripheral surface of the fluid port.
Abstract:
A laser welding system (10) includes a free-spacing beam delivery laser head (12) having a linear array of laser diodes (14), each (14) generating a laser beam (16) adapted to weld a workpiece (18) having a first component (20) and at least one other component (22) to be welded to component (20). Component (20) is substantially transmissive to the laser beam wavelength, and component (22) is substantially absorptive of the wavelength. A lens (24) is spaced a predetermined distance from each of the laser diodes (14), each of the lenses (24) adapted to focus the respective laser beam (16) into a focused laser beam segment (l), thereby forming a continuous line of laser energy (L) from a substantially serial combination of each segment (l), the line of laser energy (L) being in a plane containing the workpiece (18), the line (L) being substantially orthogonal to a direction (W) of workpiece (18) translation.
Abstract:
A fluid reservoir (111) for use in a printing device (100) includes a housing (200, 500) that, at least partially, forms at least one chamber (112) therein. The chamber (112) is configured to hold a fluid (104). A bubble port (206) leads through housing (200, 500) into a first region (222) of chamber (112) and fluidically couples chamber (112) to atmospheric gas (226) external to housing (200, 500). A bubble director (208) arranged within chamber (112) is configured to direct at least one bubble (220) of gas (226) from first region (222) to a second region (224) of chamber (112). The bubble (220) is formed within fluid (104) within first region (222) upon gas (226) entering chamber (112) through bubble port (206).
