Abstract: Provided is a liquid crystal display panel having a microlens array, which has a high strength against a pressing force and prevents generation of display nonuniformity. The liquid crystal display panel (100A) having the microlens array is provided with a liquid crystal display panel (12) having a plurality of pixels; a microlens array (14) arranged on the light entering side of the liquid crystal display panel (12); a protecting layer (35), which is arranged in contact with at least the microlens array (14) or a supporting body (26) arranged in the peripheral region of the microlens array (14) and is formed of a thermosetting resin; and a backside optical film (23) adhered on the liquid crystal display panel (12) through the protecting layer (35). A space (15) filled with air is formed between the microlens array (14) and the protecting layer (35).
