Abstract: Described herein is utilization of Shock-Absorbing Energy Dissipation Padding (SAEDP) in an autonomous on-road vehicle. Some of the embodiments include: SAEDP placed at eye level in an autonomous vehicle, SAEDP placed at eye level to the side of an occupant of an autonomous vehicle, Moveable internal SAEDP in an autonomous vehicle, Fixed external SAEDP on an autonomous vehicle, Autonomous vehicle having a movable external SAEDP, and an autonomous on-road vehicle designed for lying down. Also described a mirroring element used to increase perceived compartment volume of an autonomous vehicle.
