Abstract: In some embodiments of the present disclosure are directed towards aluminum alloy compositions, products, and methods of making the same. In some embodiments, an aluminum alloy composition comprises, in weight percent: from 2.75% to 3.25% Cu; from 2.4% to 2.9% Mg; from 5.4% to 5.9% Zn, the balance being aluminum, incidental elements and impurities. In some embodiments, the aluminum alloy composition comprises in weight percent: 5.5% to 6.0% Cu; from 1.4% to 1.9% Mg; and from 2.9% to 3.4% Zn, the balance being aluminum, incidental elements and impurities.
