Abstract:
An opposing-foil panel includes spaced-apart planar foils, a plurality of elongated support members affixed to the interior surfaces of the planar foils and extending along the between the foil ends and spaced apart laterally in and along a section of the spaced-apart foils and a region adjacent to the section in which no elongated support members are affixed therein between the interior surfaces of the first and second planar foils. An apparatus is provided for dispensing a filler material into the region such that the filler member at least partially fills the region.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a container (10) for holding product (26) therein during shipment and being returned for reuse that has a body (12), tracks (52) supported by the body (12), and a plurality of support member assemblies (35), each having a pair of end members (50) engaged with and moveable along the tracks (26) and a support member (28) extending between and connected to the end members (50). The support member may be a straight tubular member (90) or a flexible cable (126) or a non-linear member (194). The support member assemblies (35) support dunnage (66) for supporting products for storage or shipment. The support members (28) may have product receptacles (32) for receiving and retaining portions of products (26). The container (10) may have multiple layers or levels of support member assemblies (35) and associated dunnage (66).
Abstract:
An apparatus for making single-foil ribbed sheets includes an opposed-foil panel having first and second spaced apart planar foils and a plurality of support members affixed to and between opposed interior surfaces of the spaced apart planar foils, a cutting tool including a blade defining a cutting edge, the cutting tool and the opposed- foil panel positioned relative to each other such that at least a portion of the blade extends along a blade plane parallel with planes defined by the first and second planar foils with and passing through the plurality of support members, and means for moving at least one of the cutting tool and the opposed-foil panel such that the cutting edge of the cutting edge of the blade passes through the blade plane and severs each of the plurality of support members to separate the opposed-foil panel into two single-foil ribbed sheets.
Abstract:
A multi-cell partition includes a panel defining first, second and third fold lines between opposing ends thereof, with the third fold line between the first and second fold lines, and at least one elongated cross wall coupled to and between opposing panel sides and defining a fourth fold line. The partition has a closed position with the panel folded along the third fold line and unfolded along the first and second fold lines and with the at least one elongated side wall folded along the fourth fold line and at least partially disposed between the folded panel, and an open position with the panel unfolded along the third fold line and folded along the first and second fold lines to form a pair of upstanding side walls with the at least one elongated side wall unfolded along the fourth fold line and extending between the upstanding side walls.
