Abstract: A squeezable tube dispenser including a body, a nozzle, and a closure component. The body has an interior cavity for containing a substance. The nozzle is coupled to the body adjacent to an open top end of the body. The closure component includes a cover member that defines a cover cavity and a cap member protruding from an inner surface of the cover member into the cover cavity. The cap member defines a cap cavity. The cap member is detachably coupled to the nozzle via a friction fit with the nozzle nesting within the cap cavity of the cap member. The body and the cover member of the closure component are formed predominantly from a fibrous material and the nozzle and the cap of the closure component are formed from a plastic material. The squeezable tube dispenser has no more than 15% by weight of plastic.

Abstract: An oral care implement with product application is disclosed. In one embodiment, the implement is a fluid dispensing toothbrush having a body comprised of a handle, a head, and an internal cavity containing an oral care material. The head includes tooth cleaning elements and an applicator in fluid communication with the internal cavity. In one embodiment, the applicator includes at least one spring-actuated valve operable to dispense the fluidic oral care material upon engagement with a user's oral tissue. The oral care material is delivered from the internal cavity upon applying a pressing force to a moveable sealing element of the valve. In certain embodiments, a pressurizer may be provided to pressurize the oral care material for positive dispensing. In one embodiment, the applicator is disposed in a soft tissue cleaner on the toothbrush head.

Abstract: A container having a pressurized chamber containing a fluidic material and a dispensing assembly coupled thereto. The dispensing assembly includes a dispensing passageway for discharging the fluidic material from the container. A dispensing valve, a tilt valve, and a pump assembly are all operably coupled to the dispensing passageway. The tilt valve is alterable between a closed state in which the pressurized chamber is sealed and an open state in which the dispensing passageway is fluidly coupled to the pressurized chamber. The pump assembly is alterable between a first state in which a variable volume of the dispensing passageway in at a first volume and a second state in which the variable volume is at a second volume that is less than the first volume. Thus, the pump assembly creates a negative pressure behind the dispensing valve to prevent excess fluidic material from being dispensed.

Abstract: A container (100) is provided that includes a chamber (102), a dispensing passageway and a resilient valve (120). The chamber contains a viscous fluidic material. The valve (120) is configured to transition from a normal state to a dispensing state upon a discharge pressure being applied to the chamber (102) to allow the viscous fluidic material to pass through the orifice (131) of the resilient valve and to be dispensed from the dispensing passageway as a string of the viscous fluidic material. The orifice (131) is open in the normal state. The valve is also configured to return from the dispensing state to the normal state upon cessation of the discharge pressure, whereby the resilient valve (120) assumes a pinching state while returning from the dispensing state to the normal state in which the string of the viscous fluidic material is pinched off by the orifice edge.
