Abstract:
A polymer film suited to use as a face mask or transdermal patch includes at least 30 wt. % of a thermoplastic polyurethane polymer which is the reaction product of a first polyether polyol having a molecular weight of at least 3000 daltons, optionally, a second polyether polyol having a molecular weight of no more than 2500 daltons, at least one of a third polyol having a molecular weight of up to 800 daltons, and a chain extender, a diisocyanate, optionally, a catalyst. The film includes up to 5 wt. % water.
Abstract:
Disclosed are multi-staged acrylic based core-shell polymers comprising a linear core polymer and at least one subsequently polymerized shell polymer. At least one of the subsequently polymerized shell polymers is crosslinked. The core-shell polymers surprisingly provide desirable rheological, clarity, and aesthetic properties in aqueous surfactant containing compositions, particularly at low pH. The multi-staged acrylic base core-shell polymers can be included in at least one phase of a multi-phase personal care, home care, health care, and institutional and industrial care composition to impart phase stability thereto.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to esterified glycerylated alkyl glycoside and to a process for making same. The esterified glycerylated alkyl glycoside have one or more polyglyceryl moieties and one or more acyl moieties, wherein all of the one or more acyl moieties are situated on the one or more polyglyceryl moieties via an ester linkage. These compounds have been found to be useful as emulsifiers and coemulsifiers in the formulation of a phase stable emulsions suitable for use in personal care, home care, industrial and institutional, and health care applications.
