Abstract:
A treadmill may include a lock mechanism operative to selectively lock a deck assembly in one or more positions relative to a base frame. The lock mechanism may include an engagement member that locks the deck assembly in an operating position while allowing incline adjustment of the deck assembly relative to the frame during use of the treadmill. Additionally or alternatively, the treadmill may include a lift assistance mechanism operative to assist movement of a deck assembly between one or more positions relative to a base frame. A portion of the lift assistance mechanism may translate along a length dimension of the treadmill when inclining the deck assembly. The lift assistance mechanism may assist a user in moving the deck assembly into a storage position and may also assist a deck assembly lift motor in inclining the deck assembly.
Abstract:
An adjustable weight kettlebell includes a body defining an internal cavity configured to receive one or more of a plurality of weights, and a weight selector assembly configured to selectively couple one or more of the plurality of weights to the body. The weight selector assembly may include an actuator to enable a user to select one of a plurality of available weight settings. The weight selector assembly may be locked for adjustment when the kettlebell is removed from a support surface such as a base, thereby inhibiting inadvertent detachment of the weights from the kettlebell during exercise. The weight selector assembly may automatically shift to the closest weight settings upon release of the actuator and may automatically unlock upon placement of the kettlebell on the support surface such as the base, the bottom weight if not coupled to the kettlebell, or any other suitable support surface.
Abstract:
Described herein is a swivel mount for rotatably coupling a display to the frame of an exercise machine. The swivel mount includes a rigid arm fixed to one of the display or the terminal end of a frame member, the arm terminating with a ball at its free end. A socket is defined at the other one of the display or frame member which rotatably received the ball. A rotational resistance mechanism is operatively associated with the socket to selectively engage the ball and resist the rotation of the swivel mount. In some embodiments, the arm of the swivel mount may rotate in a conical range of motion for repositioning the display in relation to the frame while the display remains in a fixed position relative to the arm.
Abstract:
An adjustable weight kettlebell includes a body or shell defining an internal cavity, which is configured to receive one or more of a plurality of weights, and a weight selector assembly configured to selectively couple the one or more of the plurality of weights to the body. The weight selector assembly may include an actuator for manipulation by a user to enable the user to select one of a plurality of available weight settings. The weight selector assembly may be restricted from rotating relative to the weights when the kettlebell is removed from its base to inhibit inadvertent detachment of one or more weights from the kettlebell during exercise. The weight selector assembly may be configured to automatically shift into a closest one of the available weight settings upon release of the actuator and may be further configured to automatically unlock upon placement of the kettlebell on the kettlebell base.
Abstract:
An exercise system including a tower and a translatable and rotatable display is disclosed. The tower is a free-standing unit and includes a mast that supports the display at a sufficient height or elevation, for example above a front panel of the system's housing. A carriage assembly couples the display to the mast to enable translation of the display between two positions, and the display mount is further configured to enable rotation of the display between a portrait orientation and an landscape orientation when the display is in the second position. In some embodiments, rotation of the display is substantially inhibited by the system's housing, for example the front panel, when the display is in the first position.
Abstract:
A storable exercise bench is provided. The exercise bench may include a frame including at least one beam operatively coupled to first and second floor supports and a member operatively coupled with the at least one beam. The exercise bench may be positioned into an operating position in which the first and second floor supports support the at least one beam and the member, and the at least one beam runs generally horizontally in reference to a support surface. The exercise bench may be positioned into a storage position in which the second floor support and the member support the at least one beam and the first floor support, and the at least one beam runs generally vertically in reference to the support surface.
