Methods for preparing and applying superspreading agricultural sprays without undue foaming of the spray mixture employ a superspread-promoting, low-foaming trisiloxane surfactant. Agricultural spray mixtures with superspread properties, but limited foaming, comprise (A) a superspreading, low-foaming trisiloxane surfactant and (B) an agricultural chemical spray mixture comprising water, an agricultural chemical (e.g., a pesticide), and optionally an organic surfactant, antifoam agent, and an organic solvent.

Curable composition comprising a stable, water dispersible, curable polymer containing a sterically hindered alkoxylated silane group at 0.1 to 75 weight percent of the total composition; a water dispersible or water soluble, hydrolytically stable organometallic catalyst, at 0.1 to 10 weight percent of the total composition; and water at 99.8 to 24.9 weight percent of the total composition are taught herein. These compositions are useful as adhesives, sealants and paints. The compositions have improved properties including solvent resistance, adhesion, hardness, abrasion resistance and mar resistance. Particular catalysts for use herein include dihydroxy bis [2-hydroxypropanato (2-)-O ,O ] titanate mixed titanium ortho ester complexes, acetylacetonate chelate, bis(ethyl-3-oxobutanolato-O ,O ) bis(2-propanolato) titanium, alkanolamine complex of titanium and mercaptoalcohol, mercaptide or sulfide forms of diorganotins having either a Sn-S or Sn=S bond.

The present invention discloses blends of silanes and specific silicas, characterized in that when the blend is compounded into a rubber formulation even after 4 months of storage following formation of the blend, an unexpectedly high proportion of the silane present is available as a coupling and reinforcing agent for the rubber formulation. Over 80 % and even over 90 % of the silica can be extracted or desorbed from the blend even 4 months after formation of the blend, and rubber formulation properties indicate high availability of the silane for coupling and reinforcement.

Said silicone terpolymers are modified alkyl phenol derivatives and polyethers grafted on a polysiloxane copolymer. The present invention provides stable epoxy silane emulsions and methods for the preparation of a stable epoxy-silane emulsions comprising: (I) a water insoluble or slightly soluble epoxysilane; (II) an emulsifier; (III) water; and (IV) a water dispersible polymer containing a functional group with an active hydrogen. Also provided are two part systems such that an epoxysilane emulsion comprising components (I)-(III) are combined and the component (IV) may be added upon use of components (I) to (III). Moreover, additional components (V), such as catalysts and pH buffers may be added. Said compositions may be used for, among other things, coatings, adhesives and sealants. The water dispersible or slightly soluble epoxy functional silane for use herein are of the general structure R aR bSi(OR )4-a-b where R is an epoxy substituted alkyl or aralkyl group, where the alkyl may have from four to thirty carbon atoms, R is an alkyl or alkoxy-substituted alkyl, aryl or aralkyl group having from two to ten carbon atoms, R is an alkyl group or alkoxy substituted alkyl, aryl or aralkyl group having from one to ten carbon atoms, a is one to three, and b is zero to two, with the proviso that a+b is 1, 2, or 3. It has now been found that the use of inert gases as an auxiliary blowing agent in flexible polyurethane foams places unexpected requirements on the composition of the silicone surfactants used in such foams. Typical silicone polyalkylene oxide polyether copolymer comb-type surfactants containing greater than about 37 % ethylene oxide in the pendant polyether chains cause large cells when added inert gas is used as the blowing agent.
