Abstract:
Urethane-containing prepolymers formed from diisocyanates and adapted for Michael addition curing chemistries and compositions thereof for use in sealant applications are disclosed. The prepolymers provide compositions that exhibit room temperature stability and a controlled curing rate following a brief activation
Abstract:
Cure-on-demand, moisture-curable, urethane-containing prepolymers having urethanes incorporated into a sulfur-containing prepolymer backbone and compositions thereof for use in sealant applications are disclosed. The cure-on-demand moisture-curable urethane-containing prepolymers are terminated with polyalkoxysilyl groups. The compositions contain a controlled-release moisture cure catalyst. Compositions containing the prepolymers provide cured sealants exhibiting improved tensile strength.
Abstract:
Disclosed are methods for making a cured sealant. The methods include depositing an uncured sealant composition on a substrate and exposing the uncured sealant composition to actinic radiation to provide a cured sealant. The uncured sealant composition includes a thiol-terminated polythioether, a polyene comprising a polyvinyl ether and/or a polyallyl compound, and a hydroxy-functional vinyl ether. Related sealant compositions are also disclosed.
Abstract:
Compositions comprising sulfur-containing polymers such as polythioethers and polysulfides, polyepoxides, and controlled-release amine catalysts useful in aerospace sealant applications are disclosed. The compositions exhibit extended pot life and the rate of curing can be tailored for specific applications.
Abstract:
Disclosed are polyfunctional sulfur-containing epoxies and compositions containing polyfunctional sulfur-containing epoxies. The polyfunctional sulfurcontaining epoxies may be used as a curing agent and combined with polythioethers and/or polysulfides used to provide high elongation sealants useful in aerospace applications.

Abstract:
The use of Michael addition curing chemistries in compositions comprising sulfur-containing polymers such as polythioethers and polysulfides useful in aerospace sealant applications are disclosed. Sulfur-containing adducts comprising terminal Michael acceptor groups are also disclosed. Compositions including controlled release amine catalysts are also disclosed.
Abstract:
Disclosed are compositions that include: a) a thiol-terminated polymer; and b) a sulfur-containing ethylenically unsaturated silane. Related products, such as sealants, that include polymers derived from such compositions, are also disclosed.
