Abstract: A system includes panels and a fastener for fastening the panels together. The fastener includes a threaded shaft and a head having proximal, intermediate, and distal portions. The proximal portion has a non-circular perimeter such that a maximum dimension of the proximal portion in a direction transverse to the axial direction is larger than a minimum dimension across a non-circular opening of one of the panels. The intermediate portion has an intermediate perimeter surface positioned to limit rotation of the fastener within the non-circular opening when the intermediate surface extends into the non-circular opening. The distal portion has a distal perimeter surface permitting rotation of the fastener within the non-circular opening when the distal surface extends into the non-circular opening. A proximal shoulder extends in a radial direction between the intermediate surface of the intermediate portion of the head and the proximal portion of the head.

Abstract: A controlled motion hinge assembly having a base with a first actuator mount, a pivot arm with a second actuator mount, a hinge pivotally connecting the base to the pivot arm to be movable between an extended position and a retracted position, and an actuator shaft. The shaft has a first end, a second end, and a threaded body extending between the first and second ends. The first end is configured to receive a drive torque about the actuator shaft axis. The second end is rotatably connected to the second actuator mount, but fixed thereto along the actuator shaft axis. The threaded body engages a threaded bore of the first actuator mount such that rotation of the body causes the first actuator mount to move along the actuator shaft axis. Also provided is a pole assembly, and a method for retrofitting a pole, with a controlled motion hinge.

Abstract: An electronic latch assembly includes a latch bolt movable between an extended position and a retracted position; and a motor having a rotatable output shaft arrangement that is either directly or indirectly connected to the latch bolt for moving the latch bolt between the extended and retracted positions and rotating the output shaft arrangement between a first angular position in which the latch bolt is capable of being translated to the retracted position and a second angular position in which the latch bolt is locked and not capable of being translated to the retracted position.
