Abstract: A root-crop harvester is configured to temporarily store tubers by recirculating tubers on the conveyor system of the harvester. The conveyor system has selectable first and second operating configurations. In the first operating configuration the conveyor system transports tubers from the digger bed to an outlet where tubers are unloaded from the harvester (e.g., onto a truck). In the second operating configuration the conveyor system transports tubers along the conveyor system for a period of time and then diverts tubers to an earlier position within the conveyor system, thereby recirculating tubers on the harvester. After a period of time, the harvester operator selects the first operating configuration and the recirculating tubers along with newly dug tubers are unloaded from the harvester.

Abstract: A Pull Type Tractor Driven Root Crop Digger cum Harvester The present invention relates to a pull type tractor driven root crop digger cum harvester having an improved hitch assembly and efficient conveyor system. The hitch assembly (3) having fixed frame (13) and rotating frame (14) is being pivotally connected through pin joint (5). Said rotating frame is connected with tractor (1) through the lower links (4). Said configuration allows the articulation between tractor and harvester resulting in smaller turning radius and not causing any front lifting of tractor. Further, the root crop conveyor system includes rubber flap mounted conveyor (8) that run opposite and parallel to and on top of conveyer (7) for preventing any fall of root crop due to gravity. Further, the slope of conveyer (7), immediately after digging blade (6) is approximately aligned with slope of digger blade (6) through sprocket that reduces soil accumulation on conveyer by reducing resistance to move on later steeper portion of slope on conveyer (7).

Abstract: A peanut plant uprooter which enables uprooting peanut plants from the ground without subjecting them to any pulling forces, shaking, them for the purpose of removing dirt, placing them back down on the ground, and arranging them in a continuous windrow with the foliage covering the peanuts. The peanut plant uprooter penetrates the ground underneath the peanuts by means of two square rotating bars, and lifts the plants by means of a digging conveyor. The plants and soil are conveyed from the digging conveyor to a double-inclined conveyor. The plants are cleaned of dirt by shaking with an active shaking device. The plants are then lowered from the rear to the ground and are placed in windrows with the peanuts on the ground and the foliage covering the peanuts.
