    Abstract: An En Bloc connector configured to couple with multiple sequential reducers or extenders, such as spinal screw reducers, to correct a rotation deformity of the spine by turning or rotating the deformed spine structure toward a normal position. In the embodiments shown, the En Bloc connector holds three sequential reducers in the retracted configuration and four sequential reducers in the extended configuration.

    Abstract: A crosslink mechanism features a locking clip with interlocking teeth. When being deployed, the surgeon will compress the spring loaded clips, freeing rotation on both sides of the mechanism. Once clipped onto the sequential reducers, the surgeon releases the clips allowing the spring to lock the teeth and therefore lock rotational freedom out of the mechanism.

    Abstract: Invention relates to polyaxial spinal screws for correcting and stabilizing a spinal cord by open and minimally invasive technique. The coupling (20) comprises a spherical cut (21) sized to receive the screw shaft (10). The coupling (20) further comprises two slots (26) for receiving a stabilizing rod (40). The coupling (20) comprises an inner thread (24) where the set screw (50) is threaded. The sleeve (30) has a proximal end (302) closer to the proximal end (202) of the coupling (20) and a distal end (303). The sleeve (30) comprises at least two slots (32) for receiving a stabilizing rod (40) and at least two recesses (33) for fixation of the polyaxial spinal screw by auxiliary tools.

    Abstract: A method for treating scoliosis in a patient is disclosed. The method comprises identifying a spinal column having a lateral convex curve; providing a first anchor, a second anchor, and a tether; securing the first anchor to a posterior region of a first vertebra; securing the second anchor to a posterior region of a second vertebra; securing a first tether end at a first tether connection location; and securing a second tether end at a second tether connection location. A scoliosis treatment system comprises anchors, each having a tether connection location positioned at a first location offset in a first lateral direction from a midsagittal plane of the first or second vertebra, and the anchors do not include any tether connection locations offset in in a second lateral direction, opposite the first lateral direction, from the midsagittal plane of the first vertebra or second vertebra.

    Abstract: Spinal curvature modulation systems, methods and related devices and instrumentation are disclosed, which include a flexible tether, a tether tensioning unit and bone anchors for the flexible tether that allow the tether to be secured across multiple vertebrae in a region of treatment. When the flexible tether is attached to multiple vertebrae, it can be used to correct spinal deformities. Tension in the flexible tether is adjustable transcutaneously without invasive surgical procedures by use of remotely driven actuators, such as a magnet-driven motor, or by a small tool insertable through a small incision. Disclosed systems and methods thus allow for multiple adjustments of tether tension, and spinal curvature, over time without repeated, highly invasive, spinal surgeries.

    Abstract: Methods and systems for axial spinal derotation for ameliorating or correcting aberrant spinal column deviations, such as but not limited to those associated with scoliosis. The systems and methods help facilitate the application of significant derotational forces to individual vertebrae and posterior elements. The present invention describes a two-piece system comprising a pivot tool with a handle and a saddle reducer, e.g., a temporary rod. The systems herein can replace more complex systems for axial spinal derotation. The systems have the advantage of axial rotation off of one rod instead of two.
