The image forming apparatus includes a print engine to form an image on a sheet, a feeding apparatus to pick up a sheet loaded onto a knock-up plate and feed the picked-up sheet to the print engine by using a pick-up roller, a feed roller, and a registration roller, and a processor to, based on a print data being received, control the print engine and the feeding apparatus and allow the received print data to be printed. The processor may variably control a feeding speed of the feed roller and allow the picked-up sheet is conveyed to the registration roller within a predetermined time.
