    Abstract: An example method comprises receiving a control signal to open a first valve of a compressible liquid container within an airtight pressurized container, retrieving a first dispensing profile, each dispensing profile indicating at least one valve and, for each valve, a predetermined period of time for keeping a particular valve open, each of the valves controlling transport of contents a different compressible liquid container contained within the airtight pressurized container to a dispensing system, for each of the one or more valves identified in the first dispensing profile: opening the particular valve identified in the first dispensing profile for the particular predetermined period of time to transport contents over a first liquid transport conduit that is coupled to a particular releasable coupling and the particular valve, and closing the particular valve after the particular predetermined period of time to dispense an amount of contents of the particular compressible liquid container.

    Abstract: A liquid dispenser for dispensing a consumable liquid from a container. The dispenser includes a cabinet configured to receive one or more containers in an inverted position such that liquid is induced by gravity to flow out of an open interior of the container though a dispensing opening. A positive pressure valve assembly is mounted to the dispensing opening of the container prior to insertion of the container into the cabinet. The valve assembly includes a cap connected to the dispensing opening and a discharge tube extending from the cap. A flow restrictor of the valve assembly is positioned to selectively open and close the discharge tube to control the flow of liquid from the container. A one-way valve is positioned between the open interior of the container and a supply of air. The one-way valve allows air flow into the container as the fluid is discharged to maintain a positive pressure within the container.

    Abstract: In one aspect, a condiment dispenser is provided including a pump having an inlet, and outlet, and a movable wall forming at least a portion of a pumping chamber such that moving the movable wall adjusts a volume of the pumping chamber to pump fluid from the inlet toward the outlet. A spout is connected to the outlet of the pump and has a channel extending to a dispensing opening. A bellows is disposed along at least a portion of the channel. A piston is connected to the movable wall of the pump and movable between a first position and a second position to move the movable wall of the pumping chamber to pump fluid toward the dispensing opening of the spout. Movement of the piston between the first and second positions also compresses and releases the bellows.

    Abstract: A beverage dispense apparatus and associated method, comprises a frame (11) for removably locating and holding a sealed beverage unit package (C) in a vertical orientation. A first piercing element (14) punctures a vent opening into a headspace of the beverage package (C) and, subsequently as the first piercing element is driven downward, a second piercing element (15) punctures an outlet opening into the beverage package so that beverage can flow through a nozzle (17) under gravity. An ultrasonic transducer (16) against the nozzle (17) may supply excitation energy that breaks gas out of solution so that a creamy head is formed on the beverage in a delivery vessel underneath the frame. Control of the vent opening/vale (13) enables flow to be slowed or stopped through the nozzle (17) enabling a settle time and "two-part" pour.
