A first cross-member (200A) is configured to connect with its first free end (201A) to the first section (100A) and with its second free end (201B) to the second section (100B), thereby bridging the gap (G). A first joint arrangement (500) is configured to attach the first free end (201A) to the first section (100A) and a second joint arrangement (600) is configured to attach the second free end (201B) to the second section (100A). Each of the first and second joint arrangements (500, 600) comprises a male part (520) in the form of a dowel (521) and a female part (537) in the form of a recess (531). The recess (531) has an elongated extension and a locking portion (533). The first cross-member (200A) is configured to be moved relative to the first and second sections (100A, 100B) such that the dowels (521) are moved along the elongated extension of the recesses (531) to the locking portions (533).
Abstract:
A furniture is disclosed comprising a frame (F) having a first section (100A) and a second section (100B) mutually displaced from each other to form a gap (G) there between. A seat panel (400) is configured to connect with the first and the second section (100A, 100B) by a panel joint arrangement (410). The panel joint arrangement (410) comprises at least two male parts (420) and at least two female parts (430). Each of the male parts (420) is formed by a dowel (421) extending in a longitudinal direction and having a free end facing away from a surface of the frame (F) or from the major surface of the seat panel (400). Each of the female parts (430) is formed by a recess (431) in the major surface of the seat panel (400) or in the surface of the frame (F). The recess (431) has an elongated extension between an insertion portion (432) and a locking portion (433). The frame (F) and the seat panel (400) are configured to be moved relative to each other such that the dowels (421) are moved relative to the recesses (431) in the longitudinal direction of respective dowel (421) into the insertion portion (432) of the respective recess (431) and thereafter moved along the elongated extension to the locking portion (433) of the respective recess (431).
Abstract:
An assembly includes a plurality of shelving components and posts. The shelving components include a body, a male portion that extends from a first end of the body and a female portion that defines a void in an opposite, second end. The male portion is narrower and shorter than the body. The female portion is sized and shaped to receive the male portion of another shelving component. The shelving components also include first apertures defined by and extending through the male portion, and second apertures defined by and extending through the female portion. The posts are sized and shaped to be inserted into overlapping apertures of first and second shelving components, the overlapping apertures comprising (i) a first aperture in a male portion of the first component inserted into a female portion of the second component and (ii) a second aperture in the female portion of the second component.
Abstract:
The invention relates to furniture joint (1) comprising a first furniture part (5) having a first and a second male part (7, 8), and a second furniture part (6) having a first and a second female part (9, 10). The first and the second male parts (7, 8) each are formed by a dowel (11, 15) extending in a longitudinal direction and having a free end (12, 16). The first female part (9) is formed by a recess (18) having a curved extension between a first end portion (23) and a second end portion (24), said first end portion (23) forming an insertion portion (26). The second female part (10) is formed by a recess (25) having a straight-linear extension between a first end portion (60) and a second end portion (61), said first end portion (60) forming an insertion portion (32). The furniture joint (1) is adapted to be set to a mounting position by moving the first furniture part (5) along the longitudinal directions of said dowels (11, 15) such that the insertion portion (26) of the first female part (9) receives the free end (16) of the dowel (11) and such that the insertion portion (32) of the second female part (10) receives the free end (16) of the dowel (15), and from the mounting position to a locking position by rotating the first furniture part (5) in view of the second furniture part (6) such that the dowel (11) forming the first male part (7) is moved along the curved recess (18) from the first end portion (23) to the second end portion (24), while the dowel (15) forming the second male part (8) is rotated and moved along the straight- linear extension of the recess (25) from the first end portion (60) to the second end portion (61). The first and second furniture parts (5, 6) are in said locking position prevented from being separated in the longitudinal direction of said dowels (11, 15).
