Hydroxylamine is formed in a reactor through a partial hydrogenation of nitric oxide gas (NO) with hydrogen gas (H2) in an aqueous medium with nitrogen gas (N2) as an inert gas. The formation of the hydroxylamine forms nitrous oxide gas (N2O). The gases and the water vapor are flowed away from the reactor in a vent gas stream enabling recycling of the gases. The N2O is removed from the vent gas stream to reduce flammability. Once the N2O is removed, the NO, H2, and N2 are recycled and re-used in the reactor to form additional hydroxylamine. The N2O removed from the vent gas stream is of high purity and can be commercially sold or economically discarded.

Minimal Invasive Spine Surgery (MISS) as a surgical approach is increasingly utilized because of the advantages it offers over conventional spine surgery. The smaller incision results in decreased tissue damage, less blood loss, decreased hospital stay & faster postoperative recovery. The drawbacks of MISS are the long learning curve of working through a smaller incision, longer length of surgery, & potential higher complication rate due to compromised visual field. These limitations can be overcome by more effectively using imaging and navigational devices. The pedicle device simplifies the hardest part of MISS instrumented fusion of conventional pedicle screw insertion by introducing a percutaneous temporary device to locate and create the channel for later conventional pedicle screw implantation using available imaging techniques. This results in faster conventional pedicle screw insertion with precision, thereby decreasing implantation error and minimizing soft tissue injury and blood loss, as well as neurological, vascular, and dural injuries and complications.

An invention for creating, sending, and using self-descriptive objects as messages over a network is disclosed. In an embodiment of the present invention, self-descriptive persistent dictionary objects are serialized and sent as messages across a message queuing network. The receiving messaging system unserializes the message object, and passes the object to the destination application. Described are methods and systems that allow partial speculation (e.g., speculation within constraints). With partial speculation, after a fault is detected for example, speculation remains enabled for processor registers and other memories private to a microprocessor, while speculation normally permitted for certain other operations is suspended. Accordingly, while the fault is dispatched, some speculation is permitted as opposed to suspending all speculation. As such, microcode that makes use of speculation can be written.

An asynchronously pipelined SDRAM has separate pipeline stages that are controlled by asynchronous signals. Rather than using a clock signal to synchronize data at each stage, an asynchronous signal is used to latch data at every stage. The asynchronous control signals are generated within the chip and are optimized to the different latency stages. Longer latency stages require larger delays elements, while shorter latency states require shorter delay elements. The data is synchronized to the clock at the end of the read data path before being read out of the chip. Because the data has been latched at each pipeline stage, it suffers from less skew than would be seen in a conventional wave pipeline architecture. Furthermore, since the stages are independent of the system clock, the read data path can be run at any CAS latency as long as the re-synchronizing output is built to support it.

The present disclosure provides a methodology by which disk level access for storage drives of a storage array may be highly secured based on permission settings applied to the driver interface of the storage drives. Based on specific set of access rules, a security component applies security profiles to permit/deny access to an individual storage drive, sets the storage drive with a first security level, monitors for a triggering event, and sets the storage drive to a second (more restrictive) security access level in response to the triggering event. In addition, the security component generates an alert in response to the triggering event. Thus, disk level access permissions are applied at a driver interface layer and permissions are applied based on administrator-defined policies. The present disclosure provides for complete lock-down of data permissions, management and/or restriction of IO loads, and protection of “read-only” data integrity from overwrites.

Disclosed are methods and apparatus for handling requests for data from a private network. In general terms, a client who wishes access to secure data, such as a secure web page, from a private network establishes a secure connection with a secure server, such as a secure socket layer (SSL) server, of the private network. The secure server then downloads a software program for handling data requests (made by the client for data located within the private network) to the client. This software program is downloaded automatically by the secure server to the client when the client initiates a secure connection with such secure server. The downloaded software program is generally configured to modify data requests (e.g., by performing a URL substitution) sent from the client to an internal server of the private network such that the data requests are redirected to the secure server. The secure server then processes the data request (e.g., by retrieving the data from the appropriate internal server).

Polymer materials are useful as electrode array bodies for neural stimulation. They are particularly useful for retinal stimulation to create artificial vision, cochlear stimulation to create artificial hearing, and cortical stimulation, and many related purposes. The pressure applied against the retina, or other neural tissue, by an electrode array is critical. Too little pressure causes increased electrical resistance, along with electric field dispersion. Too much pressure may block blood flow. Common flexible circuit fabrication techniques generally require that a flexible circuit electrode array be made flat. Since neural tissue is almost never flat, a flat array will necessarily apply uneven pressure. Further, the edges of a flexible circuit polymer array may be sharp and cut the delicate neural tissue. By applying the right amount of heat to a completed array, a curve can be induced. With a thermoplastic polymer it may be further advantageous to repeatedly heat the flexible circuit in multiple molds, each with a decreasing radius. Further, it is advantageous to add material along the edges. It is further advantageous to provide a fold or twist in the flexible circuit array. Additional material may be added inside and outside the fold to promote a good seal with tissue.
