A reciprocating dynamometer assesses human physical capacity and muscle composition by: (1) simultaneously working all four limbs of the body through a full range of motion while maximally loading the muscles through a full range of speeds; (2) simultaneously capturing the reciprocating torques and reciprocating angular velocities of all four reciprocating limbs, and (3) adjusting to provide similar ranges of motion for limb joints of human subjects of different body height and limb length. Levers provide synchronized, reciprocating, angular movements for handles and pedals while adjustable brakes oppose reciprocating motion during a 15 second test of maximal exertion. Measurements of elapsed time, torque input to each lever and angular displacement of each lever enable a plot of cyclical moving average of power over cycle frequency for each limb. Peak cyclical power is the maximal rate of work performed, averaged over one movement cycle. Cycle frequency at peak cyclical power is a noninvasive reflection of muscle composition (fiber typing). Fundamental to this device and method is use of moving averages based not on time, but on movement cycle.

The processor is configured to calculate and provide audio estimation data X(fn, A(t1, . . . , tM(fn))) in the frequency domain; to calculate a transformed second audio signal Y(fn, B(t)), formed by a transformation of the second audio signal B(t) into the frequency domain; and to calculate a filtered audio signal by subtracting delayed audio estimation data from the transformed second audio signal, wherein the delayed audio estimation data is provided by a memory unit of the adaptive filter unit, which is arranged to provide a data exchange with the processor, and wherein the delayed audio estimation data comprises a frequency dependent time delay compared to the transformed second audio signal.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, a system and method for transmitting context data during an automated customer interaction comprises: a computer store containing data, for each customer, defining a customer's historical interactions with an entity and account information, a computer processor, coupled to the computer store and programmed to: receive, via an electronic input, a contact from a customer via an electronic communication channel; automatically capture current interaction data between the customer and an automated interactive entity; receive an electronic request for a live agent from the customer; retrieve, from the computer store, historical interaction data from a prior customer contact and account information; generate context description that comprises information from the current interaction data, historical interaction data and account information; embed the context description into a signal as a header; and transmit the signal with the context description to the live agent.

A computing system may automatically send a text message to a caller of an E911 call in addition to existing E911 call handling in response to one or more failures of an E911 system. Sending the text message may be a response to a technical failure associated with normal voice call handling and routing. The text message may also be a response to an emergency services center's failure to answer an E911 call. This failure may be due to technical problems or high call volumes, among other things. The text message can prompt the E911 caller to contact 911 services using a text message reply including information association with the nature of the emergency about which the caller is calling 911. The text message can be placed in a call queue at the emergency services center or routed to a local public safety answering point (PSAP).

An explosion proof assembly that includes a first portion with a window; an outer touchscreen adhesively sealed around a perimeter of the first portion rear face; and a second portion releasably coupled to the first portion. The second portion has a second portion inner surface defined by a second portion inner edge that transitions into a first dissipation wall. The first portion has a second dissipation wall. The assembly includes a mobile device operable via a mobile device touchscreen. Upon assembly, the outer touchscreen is transmissive to the mobile device touchscreen.

A first communication device generates a physical layer (PHY) preamble for a PHY data unit to be transmitted via a communication channel, the PHY data unit conforming to a first communication protocol. Generating the PHY preamble includes generating a legacy portion of the PHY preamble to include a legacy signal field, which is decodable by one or more second communication devices that conform to a second communication protocol to determine a duration of the PHY data unit. The PHY preamble is generated to also include a duplicate of the legacy signal field in the PHY preamble, wherein presence of the duplicate of the legacy signal field indicates to one or more third communication devices that conform to the first communication protocol that the PHY data unit conforms to the first communication protocol. The first communication device generates the PHY data unit to include the PHY preamble and a PHY payload.

A system and method for facilitating efficient interaction between a client device and a server. An example method includes receiving at a server, a request for server configuration information sent to the server by a client device, and then employing a first web service in communication with the server to convey configuration information about a server to a client device in response to the request message received therefrom by the server. The configuration information includes information pertaining to known capabilities that may be offered by the server to the client device. Generally, embodiments described herein provide various features for facilitating configuring service endpoints in native client applications at runtime, thereby enabling implementation of changes to server-side components that a client application invokes or communicates with, without needing to change the client application.

Embodiments are disclosed for managing a distributed data center. The managing can include receiving content interaction history associated with a first social networking account of a social networking system at a content distribution system; maintaining a cache map of available cache appliances to implement a distributed cache store; selecting a content item to push to a residential cache appliance based on the content interaction history, wherein pushing the content item includes updating the cache map to associate a network address of the residential cache appliance with an identifier of the content item; and providing a content distribution service configured to redirect a content streaming request for the content item to the residential cache appliance when the content item is determined to be available in the distributed cache store according to the cache map.

Documents or other files opened on a remote desktop are mirrored onto a mobile client device that allows a user to seamlessly work on such documents or files in either a stationary or mobile fashion. The mirrored files may be presented to the user on the mobile client device with the capacity for the user to sign his or her name—or otherwise mark—the mirrored document on the client device. Once signed, various techniques are executed that cause the signed version of the mirrored files to be communicated back to the remote desktop where the signed files are saved. Such techniques may operate transparent to a user, eliminating the need for the user to constantly have to save and transport signed files between multiple devices when working on the go.
