A centrifugal separator includes a cylindrical bowl, a core tube assembly, and an annular piston disposed around the core tube assembly and inside the inner surface of the bowl. Feed liquid is injected down the core tube assembly into the lower portion of the bowl, raising the annular piston. During a separation mode, the bowl rotates at high speed, separating solids from the feed liquid to accumulate along the inner surface of the bowl, while collecting clarified centrate as it exits the top of the bowl and through the core tube assembly. Following solids accumulation, bowl rotation is stopped and residual liquid is pumped from the bowl. In a solids discharge mode, the annular piston is urged downward along a vertical axis in response to compressed gas. The downward movement of the piston forces accumulated solids from the bowl via an opening in the lower end thereof.

A neuromodulator accurately measures—in real time and over a range of frequencies—the instantaneous phase and amplitude of a natural signal. For example, the natural signal may be an electrical signal produced by neural tissue, or a motion such as a muscle tremor. The neuromodulator generates signals that are precisely timed relative to the phase of the natural signal. For example, the neuromodulator may generate an exogenous signal that is phase-locked with the natural signal. Or, for example, the neuromodulator may generate an exogenous signal that comprises short bursts which occur only during a narrow phase range of each period of an oscillating natural signal. The neuromodulator corrects distortions due to Gibbs phenomenon. In some cases, the neuromodulator does so by applying a causal filter to a discrete Fourier transform in the frequency domain, prior to taking an inverse discrete Fourier transform.

Many electrodes are positioned inside a skull for obtaining several electric voltage variation wave information. A processing unit computes subtract operation between two neighboring electrical voltage variation wave information respectively and then can obtain electrical voltage difference waves. Furthermore, each electrical voltage difference wave is separated into a first band wave signal and a second band wave signal. After which, several first band wave envelope signals and second band wave envelope signals are obtained. It conducts a co-relation processing about the first band wave envelope signals and the second band wave envelope signals. So, a co-relation table is obtained for determining a position where an intracranial brain wave abnormality occurs. In this invention, a unique scientific approach to determine the spatial position of seizure onset occurred inside the brain. In addition, the position of intracranial brain wave abnormality can be concretized and visualized by the co-relation table.

A Telecom Monitoring and Analysis System (TMAS) can be utilized to automatically collect and analyze session logs for troubleshooting a session degradation and/or a session failure within a telecommunications network. The TMAS may receive an access request from an authorized user for purposes of troubleshooting a session degradation/failure associated with a particular subscription with an operator of the telecommunications network. The authorized user may provide an identifier associated with the subscription, and the TMAS can then query one or multiple dedicated monitoring systems for past session logs associated with the identifier. Upon receipt of the past session logs, the TMAS may generate, without user intervention, a report, based at least in part on the past session logs, the report including session degradation and/or failure information. The past session logs and/or the generated report may be sent to a user device of the authorized user.

Securing user-plane data traffic between a device and a packet data network gateway (P-GW) may be accomplished at the device (e.g., chip component, client device) by obtaining, at the device, a first shared key, and obtaining, at the device, a second shared key based on the first shared key. The second shared key may be for securing user-plane data traffic during transit between the device and the P-GW. The second shared key is shared by the device and the P-GW. The data traffic may be secured based on the second shared key to produce first secured data traffic. The first secured data traffic may be sent to the P-GW via an access node. The P-GW and the access node are distinct network entities. The second shared key is unknown to the access node. The P-GW obtains the second shared key from a network entity that is distinct from the device.

A method includes, in response to a request from a computing device, establishing a connection between a server and the computing device. The method additionally includes identifying a first set of anonymization characteristics for a first instance of an access application. The method additionally includes instantiating, within a first cloud container corresponding to the connection, the first instance of the access application using the first set of anonymization characteristics. The method additionally includes retrieving first data using the first instance of the access application. The method additionally includes sending second data to the computing device via the connection. The second data is determined based on the first data.

Embodiments are directed to a virtual mobility anchor network element to receive, from a packet gateway (PGW) node, a request for an internet protocol (IP) address for a mobile device, establish an IP address for the mobile device; and provide the IP address to the PGW node in response to the request for the IP address for the mobile device. The virtual mobility anchor network element is configured to receive IP traffic from a network location; determine a target destination for the IP traffic based on a destination IP address, the destination IP address comprising the second IP address; and forward the IP traffic to the PGW node associated with the destination IP address. The virtual mobility anchor network element is also configured to receive IP traffic from the PGW node; determine a target destination for the IP traffic; and route the IP traffic to the target destination.

A method providing vehicle incident call services to a user is disclosed. A third-party service center receives a voice call from a vehicle. Signaling is automatically sent to the vehicle from the third-party service center and, in response to the signaling, the third-party service center receives from the vehicle, location information comprising at least the latitude and longitude coordinates of the vehicle. An interactive voice recognition (IVR) system located at the third-party service center is used to determine if the latitude and longitude coordinates are valid. If the coordinates are determined to be valid, the third-party service center provides the user with a selection of vehicle-incident non-emergency response services.

A gas meter is outfit with near field communication (NFC) devices for in-situ exchange of data. The NFC devices reside in separate compartments. A first compartment houses electronics necessary to generate values for volumetric flow of material in a pipe. The gas meter includes a second compartment with an access point that allows data, including telemetry data, to transmit from the gas meter to a remote device. In operation, the NFC devices exchange data between the first compartment and the second compartment, often through a wall or barrier that prevents flow of fluid between the compartments.

The invention relates to methods for controlling transmission of machine type communication data to or from machine type communication devices within a mobile communication system. Furthermore, the invention relates to a mobile terminal and network node for implementing such methods, and to implementations of the methods in software. In one aspect of the invention, a mechanism to perform transmission planning (or scheduling) of data transmission from machine type communication devices is suggested. This transmission planning may be based on load estimates at different points in time (e.g. for individual timeslots), and may allow the scheduling of transmissions of machine type communication data at points in time, where the load in the mobile/wireless communication network is expected to be low.
