摘要：
A speed control apparatus for a continuously variable speed transmission comprises ratio control means for controlling a speed reduction ratio and range selection means for selecting either a running range which permits transmission of engine power to the wheels or a neutral range which shuts off said transmission. The speed reduction ratio is controlled by the ratio control means so as to coincide with a speed reduction ratio corresponding to the vehicle speed detected by the speed sensing means when the neutral range is selected by the range selection means.
