A method of molding and an injection-compression molding machine for achieving said method of molding aimed at the adjustabiiity of a charging speed of molten resins in a metallic mcid according to a shape of molded product by changing an opening and closing speed of the metallic mold or an injecting speed of the molten resins in an injecting mechanism according to a quantity of molten resin charged in the metallic mold or a quantity of molten resin injected by means of the injecting mechanism to always produce stable molded products in a short time even though a shape is changed. Said injection-compression molding machine comprises a compression mechanism (21) for tightening the metallic mold, an injection mechanism (10) for injecting the molten resin into the metallic mold, a stroke-detecting device (25a) for the compression mechanism, an opening and closing speed-detecting device (26a) for the metallic mold, an injecting speed-detecting device (16a) for the injecting mechanism, a controller (40) provided with a compression mechanism stroke input-setting device (25b), a metallic mold-opening and closing speed input-setting device (26b), an injection speed input-setting device (16b) and an interface (45), a compression mechanism-driving device (21c) and an injection mechanism-driving device (14c).
