A method for manufacturing a packing used in a device having an internal structure divided in a plurality of chambers or channels connected to one another for realizing material transfer, heat exchance or mixing between gases, liquids or gas and liquid, the packing forming the internal structure and including undulating permeable sheets disposed in parallel to one another to form plural channels and extending substantially in the direction of a main stream of fluid, projecting portions of respective undulating permeable sheets being disposed in a direction substantially crossing the direction of the main stream and joints being formed between adjacent permeable sheets in the projecting portions includes a step according to which the undulating permeable sheets (11) of plural channels and the joints between the adjacent permable sheets (11) are formed by weaving simultaneously for respective channels thereby to manufacture a woven packing (3) having plural channels.
