Proposed is a connector (16) between sections (12, 14) of a sleeper on which several rails are fixed and by means of which the sections are movable with respect to each other while maintaining, or substantially maintaining, the distance between the rails, the connector being mounted so that it is softer in the vertical direction than in the horizontal direction.
