摘要：
A novel cholesterol oxidase having a high substrate affinity for cholesterol, and a wide working pH range is provided, as well as a method for the production of said cholesterol oxidase which comprises culturing a microorganism belonging to the genus Escherichia which carries a recombinant DNA comprising a DNA derived from Brevibacterium sterolicum and defined in the Sequence Listing by SEQ ID NO: 1.
