The invention relates to a device adapter for busbars in a busbar system in which the busbars are arranged in a through-like lower securing section extending over their length and have a clamping arm perpendicular to the securing surface of the lower securing section on which terminals of the device adapter can be fitted and in which the terminals are inserted in an adapter housing which can be secured mechanically to the lower securing section by means of catches, and bears a section of a top-hat rail for securing a device with a top-hat fitting. Fitting the terminals in the device adapter is simplified by making the adapter housing in two parts. In addition, various ways of connecting the devices to be fitted are provided.
