The invention relates to an electric hand tool (10, 100) with a casing (11, 111) which contains a motor (16) and a drive spindle (50) with a rotary eccentric pin (51, 52) and a reciprocating tool (88, 188, 288) coupled to the eccentric pin (51, 52) having a clamping end (77) in a housing (11, 111) with a recess (90, 91, 93), where, between the tool (88, 188) and the eccentric pin (51, 52), there is a dog (68, 69) to transmit the movement and where the dog (68, 69) has a drilling (72, 72') in which the eccentric pin engages so as to rotate. This is easier and more economical to produce in that a projection (70, 71) especially taking the form of a pin on the dog (68, 69) releasably engages with the recess (90, 91, 93) of the clamping end (77) of the tool (88, 188, 288, 388, 488, 588).
