In a power transmission system for transmitting a rotation power between a driving member or a pulley (1) and a driven member or a shaft (5) which are rotatable with respect to a common axis, an armature plate (13) has a frictional surface which is in contact with a frictional surface of the pulley with contact pressure caused between said frictional surfaces in a predetermined direction. A supporting member (7, 9, 11) elastically supports the armature plate to the driven member to make the armature be movable in the predetermined direction. A pushing member (15, 17) elastically pushes the armature plate towards the driving member to adjust the contact pressure.
