摘要：
The invention relates to a machine tool for machining borings with a large axial length and to a boring tool which is particularly suitable for a machine tool of this type. Said machine tool and boring tool have a boring bar which has at least one tool lip and is supported by means of a steady. Said steady can be connected to said boring bar (28) via a coupling (48) and reduces the radial excursion of said boring bar during the machining process to a minimum.
