The medium voltage switchboard is realized by means of a switchboard section (MSF...) having modular structure and a plant-oriented number of separate partition areas (SCR...) with separate pressure relief devices (DEE...). Said partition areas (SCR...) are interconnected with function-oriented bushing devices (DEE...). The switchboard sections with modular structure are used for realizing metal-clad air-insulated medium voltage switchboard plants used for energy supply and distribution.
