Method for operating a refrigerating system. An electromotor-driven or mechanically driven compression refrigerating system (1, 2, 3, 4) is thermally coupled to a thermally fed refrigerating system (5, 6, 7), whereby the liquefier (3) of the compression refrigerating system is cooled by the thermally fed refrigerating system (5, 6, 7).
