The invention relates to a yarn feed device having one or two yarn feeler levers (27, 28) which monitor the yarn. A feeler stop (71) is provided in order to be able to stop the monitoring according to need. The operating element (handle) (75) of said feeler stop is arranged on an exterior end of the base body or of the yarn feed device so that it can be easily accessed by operating personnel. In addition, the position of the handle enables the adjusting position to be easily identified.
