A valve block (1) for a dosing device, with an arrangement of piston pipettes (2) or other dosing means, comprises, on the one side thereof, a pattern of openings (15) which may be placed on the arrangement of piston pipettes (2) and, on the opposite side thereof, a second opening (16) corresponding to each first opening (15). The valve block (1) further comprises a number of channel systems (20), each with a main connector (23). The valve block essentially comprises a number of plates (10, 11, 12, 13), arranged in a stack. All plates have through holes (14), arranged in the pattern of the first holes (15). At least a part of the plates (11, 12, 13) additionally comprises a channel system (20) with channels (21), connected to the main connector (23), whereby said channels (21) form a pattern which matches the pattern of the through holes (14) and is laterally displaced relative thereto. In order to optionally connect the first openings (15) to the corresponding second opening (16) or to a selected channel system (20), said plates (11, 12, 13) with the channel system are optionally laterally displaced.
