A rasp handle is disclosed, comprising an insertion member having engagement means for selectively engaging a cable, and whereby said cable is affixable to a rasp. Also disclosed is a provisional femoral neck which may have a spring biased locking piston in a hollow cylindrical body, or which may have a guide surface which is piloted to a mate on a provisional femoral stem.
