The invention concerns a hood (1) for the rear deck (2) of a vehicle with roof (3) retractable into the rear deck (2), linked to the body (6) through members (7, 10) arranged at the front edge (4) and at the rear edge (5) of the hood (1), and serving either for locking or pivoting the hood (1) so that the latter can be opened either from the front rearward, from the rear forward, and control means (8) controlling the opening and closing of the hood (1) in one direction or the other. The invention is characterized in that the control means comprise at least one pivoted arm (9) and an actuator (22) which is linked to the pivoted arm (9) and to the body (6), and which is adapted to move the pivoted arm (9) and the hood (1).
