The invention relates to a method for distributing brake torque between at least a first and a second brake system of a motor vehicle comprising at least two wheel axles and four wheels with tires, in which the first brake system acts on at least one wheel axle and in which the second brake system acts on at least one driven wheel axle and in which the distribution of brake torque between the first and the second brake system takes account of the wear of the tires and the constituent components of the brake systems.
