The invention relates to an apparatus (10) for scarifying the interior surface of a sewer pipe. The apparatus(10) consists of a chassis (16),with an outer frame (14) coupled to the chassis (16)and an inner frame (12)slidably coupled to the outer frame(14).Two extendible arms (23, 24)are attached to opposite sides of the inner frame.(12) Each arm (22, 24)has a nozzle assembly (26, 28) mounted on the end, each nozzle assembly(26, 28) having a plurality of fluid jets (30)for spraying water onto the interior surface of the pipeline. The nozzle assembly (26, 28)may be pivotally mounted to allow for greater control of the fluid jets.(30) The apparatus(10) further includes a propulsion system for movement of the apparatus(10) along the pipeline.
