摘要:
A machine and method are disclosed for deconstructing walls and other substantially vertical surfaces. The machine comprises a static, stand-alone support-frame. A carriage is movably mounted on the support-frame, which carriage is operable to be raised and lowered along the support-frame adjacent to a workface. To the carriage are mounted one or more nozzles, preferably the nozzles are mounted to the carriage by means of a nozzle carrier that is operable to move back and forth along the length of the carriage. The nozzles are connected to a high-pressure supply of an erosive material, preferably water. The erosive material, when forced through the nozzles, form jet streams that are directed against the surface of the workface, thereby eroding the surface. Optionally, the invention comprises means of yawing or means of rotating the nozzles in order to access the sidewalls of the opening in the workface produced by the invention. Optionally, the invention comprises means of adjusting the nozzles towards or away from the workface surface in order to maintain an optimal gap between the nozzle and the workface surface as the opening gets deeper. Optionally, the invention comprises a work platform mounted on the support-frame and operable to be raised and lowered along the support-frame, thereby providing access to the workface for workers cutting rebar and carrying out other ancillary tasks.

The invention relates to an apparatus (10) for scarifying the interior surface of a sewer pipe. The apparatus(10) consists of a chassis (16),with an outer frame (14) coupled to the chassis (16)and an inner frame (12)slidably coupled to the outer frame(14).Two extendible arms (23, 24)are attached to opposite sides of the inner frame.(12) Each arm (22, 24)has a nozzle assembly (26, 28) mounted on the end, each nozzle assembly(26, 28) having a plurality of fluid jets (30)for spraying water onto the interior surface of the pipeline. The nozzle assembly (26, 28)may be pivotally mounted to allow for greater control of the fluid jets.(30) The apparatus(10) further includes a propulsion system for movement of the apparatus(10) along the pipeline.

This application discloses an automated apparatus for cleaning the interior surface of a pipe. The device includes a vehicle (18) which propels itself down the inside of the pipe. A cleaning system (19) is fixed to the vehicle (18) and uses arms (7) to reach the walls of the pipe. At the end of each arm (7) sits a spray nozzle assembly (10) equipped with spray nozzles (15). The spray nozzle assembly (10) rotates or oscillates to spray clean the pipe surface. The arms (7) and spray nozzle assembly (10) interchange with other such cleaning systems depending on the shape or type of pipe and the desired cleaning technique. The apparatus is tethered to a source of fluid under pressure and a power source both of which are located off-board the apparatus at a remote location. An operator supervises the device's operation, controlling the speed and direction of travel of the vehicle (18), the speed and direction of oscillation and rotation of the cleaning system (19), and the fluid pressure delivered by the spray nozzles (15).

A method and apparatus for cleaning a surface (18), such as a wall of a waste boiler (14) of a Kivcet furnace, are described. The apparatus comprises suspending a pair of spaced apart cables (24, 26) adjacent a surface to be cleaned, attaching ends of a rail (34) to respective ones of the cables, and the rail being reversibly moveable up and down the surface. A carriage (44) has a nozzle assembly, operative to emit a jet of water, with the carriage reversibly moveable along the rail. The nozzle assembly has a cleaning nozzle (40, 42) directed at the surface to be cleaned and a push nozzle (50, 52) directed away from the surface to counteract the momentum generated by the cleaning jet. The rail is moved from one of a top and bottom of the surface to another of the top and bottom of the surface, and the carriage is moved from one side of the rail to another, cleaning the surface as it moves

A method of cleaning a waste boiler, comprising mounting a robot adjacent an interior surface of a wall of the boiler, the robot operative to emit a high pressure jet of fluid against an interior surface of the wall of the boiler. The robot is moved over the interior surface of the wall to clean the interior surface; and then moved over another wall of the boiler to cleaning that wall. These steps are repeated for each remaining uncleaned wall of said boiler.
摘要:
A scarifier for scarifying an interior wall of a sewer pipe, which includes an elongated frame having spaced apart upstanding frame elements at either end forming a plurality of guide surfaces on each side. A first track extends from one end of the frame to another, reversibly moveable upwardly along a first set of the guide surfaces on a first side of the frame in response to a control signal, which controls a drive system coupled to the track. A nozzle assembly is reversibly moveable along the track from one end of the scarifier to another so that a nozzle, mounted on the nozzle assembly, which emits a jet of fluid towards an interior surface of the sewer pipe, is operative to scarify a swath along the interior surface.
